The Charm of Carstensz Pyramid Papua

Carstensz Pyramid (Puncak Jaya) is a peak that is part of the Barisan Sudirman located in Papua province, Indonesia.

The name is taken from its discoverer, namely Carstensz a Dutch sailor, John Carstensz who witnessed a mountain peak covered by ice in the equatorial countries. No one believes that his peenyataan. John Carstensz is the first European summit Cartesz witnessed with his own eyes.

Indonesian people call it by Puncak Jaya, Puncak Jaya in fact although not the highest peak of Carstensz itself. Puncak Jaya is considered one of the highest peaks in the Jaya Wijaya mountain.
